God, Science and the New Athiesm

Helping Christians overcome fears about science. Science is sometimes perceived as a threat to Christianity and this view is actively encouraged by new atheists such as Richard Dawkins who claim that science leads to atheism. This seminar explores why Christians have nothing to fear. Not only does science provide some of the best reasons for belief in God, but Christianity provides us with some of the best reasons for doing science, not least by motivating us to try to understand God’s amazing creation. In light of this, the seminar also looks at how we can respond to some of the claims of the new atheism.
