The grey tsunami

Given the dramatic increase in the over 60s demographics, as the “baby boomers” come up to retirement age, this seminar will look at how society views the aging process, and at recent research into the factors which contribute to wellbeing at this later stage of life. We will look at how to make good transitions into the “third third” of our lives, and some of the issues we might want to address personally. Finally we will look at whether our churches are prepared for this demographic change, the contribution we can continue to make in our churches and society, and what support we might need to play our full part.
